TURNING THE WORLD SAFER

SERVICES

DIAN is a company operating in the advanced tertiary sector as an engineering service provider of remote sensing and non-destructive infrastructure monitoring services.

The services offered by DIAN are based on the Synthetic Aperture Radar technology with data acquired by satellite and ground based radar sensors.

Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) is a modern technology that allows to obtain microwave images of the observed scene or object in any weather condition and in the absence of sunlight.

The interferometric SAR technique (InSAR) provides high precision maps of the observed scene or object.

The company’s activities are centred on the following areas:

  • environmental monitoring services, such as landslides, landslips and land subsistence, providing measurements of the morphological changes of the land both on a large scale using satellite data and on small-scale using ground-based radar;
  • static and dynamic monitoring services as well as non-destructive monitoring of infrastructures such as: bridges, dams, viaducts, buildings, churches and any other infrastructure of particular artistic value, industrial infrastructures and wind farms;
  • infrastructure stability monitoring services of railway lines, motorways, oil pipelines, gas pipelines.

To ensure these services are provided to the highest standards, DIAN has its own internal research and development structure to carry out the engineering and production of software for the acquisition, processing and analysis of data and signals.

As a result, we have a high level of operational flexibility and are able to respond immediately and efficiently to Customer requests.

Our services are classified in 3 main categories:

  • large scale monitoring by satellite,
  • small scale monitoring by GB-SAR,
  • infrastructural monitoring by GB-SAR.
